Dan Bond

Software Engineer building distributed systems in Go/Rust. Linux enthusiast. Keen interest in networks: TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, etc.

I currently work at Avocet as a Site Reliability Engineer, where I'm focusing on the migration of their production clusters to Kubernetes and building new services in their distributed, real-time bidding platform. I'm mainly responsible for keeping their systems handling on average ~10B requests per day using tech such as NSQ, Kafka, HAProxy, Prometheus and InfluxDB, among others.

If I'm not extinguishing fires (sometimes started by myself), you'll most likely find me at a conference or meetup.
